I wasn't able to post yesterday because I was in the car all day driving from Ohio to Virginia, but it feels so good to be home! I like Ohio, don't get me wrong, but living right outside of DC is amazing, and there is so much to do!
My dad is looking to get a dog, he loves them and has two cat's already but has been wanting a dog for years. So tomorrow my boyfriend and I are going to look at some local pounds and shelters, and see what is out there. He wants a small to medium dog, that will get along with the cats. Hopefully we'll find some potentials! Do you guy's have any suggestion for breeds? He has a nice fenced in back yard, and a big house to roam around.
Here is my outfit for day 3! I used one of my dresses as a skirt, and it worked out really well! You can't even tell it is really a dress. Sorry for the lighting, it was raining outside so I was only able to get one good picture outside.
I also wan't to show you this great hair tutorial! It's a perfect look for summer! I'm definitely gonna try it out! If it works I'll post pictures :)
I hope you all had an amazing 4th of July, filled with fireworks and good food!
First off...you look soooo darn gorgeous! Love the outfit. What a cute orange fluff ball of a feline. :)
ReplyDeleteI volunteer at a humane society here in Jacksonville, FL and it seems like the best pairing for cats are larger dogs. Cats get really territorial and if you bring in a dog that is close to their size they have a tendency to get angry and possessive. I'd say stay away from any hound dog like beagles/dachshunds because their instinct is to herd and chase...cats don't like that instinct! Then again...you could ask what dogs that fit the size you're looking for at the shelters are good with cats. They may have first hand knowledge. Sorry for such a LONG post! I hope you find a good match! :)
I adore the hairstyle thanks for the tips, following your blog please follow me at http://littlemissvintagefashion.blogspot.com/ thnk u xx
ReplyDeleteGreat job on turning the dress into a skirt. Belts always hide things like that so well. Looks lovely on you!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the dog search!!
xoxo

1) I'm so glad I found your blog- cuteness!
ReplyDelete2) We have 5 big dogs and 4 cats and they loveee each other. Seriously, the dogs cuddle with the cats and everything. They're all strays that just showed up and never left, so I'm not sure about picking them out... but generally rescue animals are SOOOO wonderful
3)I will be doing my hair this way, like, this weekend. Thanks for the link!
