New Years Birthday

I really love being a New Year's baby. I was born on New Years, and it's so fun that everyone is in the celebrating mood on my birthday. I will be turning 21, so wish me luck as I go to the bars at midnight!

Hope you all have a safe, and fun evening.

Weekend in Chicago

I spent the weekend in Chicago, and let me say, that city is BEAUTIFUL! I loved it! The lake is so much bluer than lake erie up in Cleveland, and although it was chilly, we stayed out and shopped till we dropped! I'll post more about the shopping later :)

A special thank you to my fabulous boyfriend who drove through a snowstorm just so we could go !

Bergdorf Goodmans window display

So yesterday I showed you Tiffany's Display.. now we have Bergdorf Goodmans! I LOVE this theme, wild but sophisticated. Here is the link to see more! I posted my favorites :)
Descriptions below are from the site. They really give you a great behind the scenes look of the art!

"Testing the Waters" - Completely encrusted with hand-cut Italian mosaic tile, this intensely blue window is meant to depict an undersea fantasy. The single mannequin is dressed in a seashell dress from the Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 collection.

"Teacher's Pet" - This scene was created almost entirely out of paper! (Make that 300 different types of paper.) The classroom is filled with black and white paper animals, including a life-sized paper zebra, ostrich, panda bear, aardvark, and white peacock. The teacher is dressed fashionably in a black and white Marchesa gown.

"Breaking the Ice" - A mid-afternoon arctic garden party was the theme of this window display. Guests include “couture plush” animals such as polar bears, a moose, an arctic mountain goat, a seal, and a of pair wolves. (Did you notice the champagne popping monkey?) All of the animals have been upholstered in luxe white textiles and appliqu├ęd with icy crystals, beads, and sequins. A Baccarat chandelier hangs in the background while the party hostess dons a dress and one-of-a-kind cape by J. Mendel.

Which is your favorite?

Tiffany Window Display

One of my favorite things about the holidays is, surprise, not shopping, but the amazing store displays. I love window displays (I really would love to try that someday!) NYC has the most beautiful displays, although when I go to Chicago in a few weeks I hope to see some there!

Here is the amazing Tiffany's display (Dont you just love Tiffany blue? I want a Tiffany blue bathroom someday!)

See more after the Jump!

Dress of 100,000 needles

I was on the website My Modern Met (I'm obsessed with it!) and came across this amazing dress made from.. wait for it.. 100,000 dressmaker needles! From afar it looks like a work of art, and up close you really see the painstaking detail that went into it.

Amazing, right?

If Chanel designed a cupcake

I was on My Modern Met the other day and saw this beautiful concept. Prop Stylist Lisa Edsalv designed cupcakes to replicate famous couture brands. Each cupcake represents the company and their themes perfectly, with Chanel in classic black and white and Vera Wang in bridal white.

My favorite is definitely the Chanel one. I love how classic it is!

Check out her website! She is such an amazing prop stylist.
