30 for 30 challenge!

So today I decided I was going to do the 30 for 30 challenge! What's 30 for 30 you ask? Well it is this awesome idea where you pick 30 items of clothing and mix and match them for 30 days. I always feel like I need new clothing, and I think this challenge will really help me mix and match more, and fall in love with some of my old favorites that I've considered giving away. Here is a great explanation!

I thought that July was a perfect month to do. I am traveling to my hometown of Northern Virginia for 3 weeks (hopefully 4!) to visit family and friends, and I'll also be traveling to my future home, Savannah, Georgia, so as I packed I thought... instead of cramming dozens of shirts and dresses and such, why not just pack 30 items? Not only will it downsize my suitcase weight (which was VERY heavy this morning before I decided to do this challenge) but it will also allow me to really think about my wardrobe, and show myself that I don't need new clothing.

I'm varying it slightly, some people include shoes into their 30 picks, but I consider them an accessory. Also, it's summertime and I will be doing lot's of walking, so I'll mostly be wearing flip flops.

Also, I'm adding one wildcard! An extra item not listed. I only had 29 things, and I'm not packing anything else, so it might never be used!

I wanted to pick items that I loved, were comfy, as well as a few items from my closet I never wear. I wanted to give my not so favorite pieces new life with my favorite ones!
