Bridesmaids Boxes

When I get married (someday in the future far far away) I think this is a lovely, and unique way to ask the bridesmaids! It's from one of my favorite wedding blogs, Wedding Chicks. They have such beautiful bridal ideas, and I honestly love all of them. So expect some more things off their website!

Lovely, right?

Fabulous vintage-inspired bridal gowns!

So while looking at some bridal blogs, I came across this AMAZING website, Dolly Couture. They have short, vintage inspired dresses that are under $1000! Perfect for a modern, hip bride looking to go the traditional route, but with a twist. And they are definitely budget friendly.

Here are a few of my favorite, although I honestly love them all!

This is called The Beverly Hills, and features hundreds of organza rosettes. In my eyes, this is perfect. Organza, sweetheart neckline, flattering A line style.. what could be more perfect? $995

This is The Beverlywood. Another to die for dress. Aline, modest top, and the V neck is always flattering. There are two versions, one is $995, the other is $595.

The Pasadena  is a gorgeous gown has a beautiful rose belt, and beading on the upper half. I love the modesty and style of this one! Only $595

A one of a kind wedding

I saw on the news the other day about a wedding of a classmate from Highschool. I thought of it as a typical wedding, but than I watched the video and read the article, and realized this was truly special.

The brides husband is battling a life threatening brain tumor, and thanks to the amazing kindness of local businesses and donations, they were able to have their dream wedding paid for. They contacted Wish Upon A Wedding, a non-profit organization that "provides weddings and vow renewals for couples facing terminal illness serious life altering circumstances". Seeing how a girl my age, and someone I knew in High School, could be so strong and full of love to accept her partner for his illness, and never let it shatter their love. It truly is such a beautiful love story.

Seafoam and coral wedding & First interview & Twitter!

I am so excited to announce, that I will be hosting my first blogger interview next week! I will be asking the fabulous Ali Grace about makeup tips. If you have any questions for Ali, from makeup to fashion, I would love to hear them! I'll ask everything you want to know :)

I've been contacted by quite a few brides looking for custom bridal shoes, and I'm thinking it must be fall wedding season! So I've been searching all over for inspiration to put into my shoes, and new hair pieces  I have been working on.

I absolutely love the colors in the wedding from Bowties and Bliss. I wouldn't normally think of these two colors together, but they work so well! Such a perfect color scheme for spring and summer. I love it!

What other colors would you put together, that normally would not go together?
And comment with any makeup, beauty, or hair questions you would like for Ali!

p.s. I just made a twitter! Follow me @avamaehandmade or click on my link to the right!

Simply Bloom

So I'm still waiting for my USB cord to come in the mail so I can post pictures! So many outfits, all waiting to be taken off my camera! So expect a huge update Wednesday or Thursday. I've been under the weather the past few days, so I pretty much just slept around all day. As much as I hate being lazy, it was relaxing to do nothing but sleep and eat crackers.

I also watched the show Sweet Home Alabama. It's like the bachelorette, but with southern men vs. city men. And I must say, I looove myself a southern boy! I love the traditions of yes mam, no mam, opening doors, and loving to play football and cook. So needless to say, it's my new guilty pleasure! I must say, I am a lucky girl because I found myself a southern gentleman in Ohio!

I came across this AMAZING photography duo, Vania and Christine, which make up Simply Bloom Photography. I love wedding photography so much, and their work is elegant and beautiful.

Here is a wedding from their blog that I am in love with. Everything about this wedding is perfect. From the hair and shoes, to the chocolate mustaches.

So amazing, right?
