30 for 30 challenge finale!

So I am finally done with the 30 for 30 challenge! Whew! It took me a lot longer than I expected. I started out on a roll, but as the month went along, I got busier and busier and wasn't able to get pictures taken in time. Here are the last two outfits!

Days 23-28

Hello :) Hope everyone had an amazing weekend! It went by way to fast, like always. I started moving out of my apartment Friday, and it was a lot of work! I have way too much stuff in my tiny bedroom.

Tomorrow is me and Woody's 6 months (even though we were "together" for quite a few months before that.) So for our 6th months he got me a Pandora bracelet! It's perfect! I've always wanted one, and he even got me an elephant charm. The elephant is kind of an inside joke with us, and he got me a stuffed animal elephant for Christmas. So this way he is always with me, even when I am in Georgia. (Insert awww moment here)

Meow Monday/Shopping

Hello :) For todays Meow Monday I'm featuring the elusive Coco. She lives at my dads, and is the bad cat that ate my camera cord. This is one of the few pictures I have of her, because she never sits still when she's in public, and most of the time she hides. She is not very social. But, she is a beautiful calico!

Coco, the first day we got her, 4 years ago.

I wen't to Gabriel Brothers with my mom this weekend and got a few new things! I know while I'm on my challenge I really shouldn't, but I couldn't pass up some great deals! They have designer clothing for very cheap, and it's hit and miss; somedays you find fabulous things, others nothing. Today was one of those days where I liked everything. Here is this knitted top I loved so much, I got it in purple and yellow! They were $6 each.

I also bought this fabulous skirt for $8!

And I paired it with this yellow top to go shopping. Both new, but included it in the challenge as wild card pieces.

I paired it with these yellow wedges. These shoes are actually from Junior homecoming, back in high school! My mom rhinestoned them for me, and I wore a short yellow sequined dress. Oh memories..

This is the yellow dress.. those were the days of little Adrienna. Oh I wish I was that small again..

Today's work outfit.

These are shoes I got at a local consignment store for $4.00.

I hope you guys have an amazing monday!

Finally! More outfits!

Well, I'm back in O-H-I-O! And that means my camera cord! So I finally have a few outfits up to show!
I started work today, and I must say, I love my job! I work for a Milliner, so I get some amazing hands on experiencing making a variety of hats. My hands were raw and black from blocking sinamay, but I love it :) It really is such a rewarding experience seeing a hat go from fabric to a finished creation.

A hat makes any outfit! I mean, who doesn't love the classic look of a beautiful straw hat in the summer!

She always wants to be in my pictures!

Mutlee baby :)

A little blurry, taken from my digital camera.
This is a dress I just purchased from Target!

I'm slowly catching up! Only 10 outfits to go!

Words of Wisdom #1

Today I have a quick tutorial that saved me money and my makeup! I always seem to drop my eyeshadow or blush, and end up having to buy a new one because it keeps breaking and goes everywhere. But I came across this super easy way to fix it! I tried it today on my broken blush, and it worked!

Find out how here

Here is a quick outfit taken from my not so nice camera. It's the only outfit I have to show, since the rest of mine are on my other camera which is still missing a cord!

Tomorrow I drive back to Ohio. I can't believe this month is almost over!

Feathery Flair

So Mutlee and my cat's still dont get along. It's a gotten a lot better though, and the cats now roam the house freely. But Peaches still hides in my room when Mutlee barks. So the past few days have been me and Peaches all day long! So for meow monday, I feature the always beautiful, Peaches!

Today I went out to lunch with the family, and got a picture with my beautiful Omi (grandma in German) and her twin Erika. My Grandmother and Great Aunt are such an inspiration. They are beautiful women who lived in Berlin, Germany during WWII and lost their home, school, everything to the war. But they remained strong, and came to America and prospered.

Erika on the left, Omi on the right.

Here is this ahhmmaaziiinnng tutorial on how to make a feathered hair accessory from Promise Tangeman Blog. Feathers are so in right now, and a few of my friends have feather extensions in their hair and it looks so good! But this is a great option for someone who wants the look, without paying to get them in and taking care of them.

1. INGREDIENTS: old t-shirt, hair clips, scissors, super glue, twine, and feathers.
2.CUT/RIP T-SHIRT INTO STRIPS. I chose a black T-shirt because I wanted just a subtle look in my hair. I cut/ripped 3 different lengths of fabric. One really long one, one medium length and one shorter one. I even added some knots and tied ends together for a detailed look.
3. ATTACH T-SHIRT FABRIC TO CLIP. Using the twine I simply tied and tightly knotted the fabric onto the end of the clip.
4. WRAP TWINE AROUND T-SHIRT STRIPS.Wind the twine around all three fabric pieces separately. I wound certain parts tighter than others to add more interest.
5. GLUE THE FEATHER. Super glue the end of the feather.
6. ATTACH FEATHER. Slip the super glued feather through the wrapped twine.
7. SECURE FEATHER. Secure the feather again with a snippet of twine. Knot it good, just to be sure.
8. REPEAT THE PROCESS. Repeat steps 4-7 until you have the desired amount of feathers and twine on your hair piece. I used about 3-5 feathers on each t-shirt strip.

I can't wait to make this!

Zooooooo

Woody left today, back to Ohio he goes! It was nice to spend a few weeks with him,  I love being around him, he is so calming to my craziness, and such an amazing man who walks with the Lord.

We went to the National Zoo in DC yesterday, and it was awesome. I love the zoo, and seeing all the animals! It was very hot, so we knew we wouldn't last too long. All we wanted to see was the Giant Panda, and we had to wait in line to see them, but it was so worth it. They are so cute!

Heres outfit 12, 13, and pictures from the zoo!

Friday was the first day I wore this dress! I bought it a month ago, but for some reason never wore it. It's so comfy, and I can't wait to wear it again!

Flamingo !

Sleepy panda...

The panda walked over.. just to lay back down

And here is today's outfit! Sunday best :)

p.s. my tattoo says walk by faith! 2 Corinthians 5:7. One of my favorite verses :)

I tried out hot pink lipstick! It was a little brighter than I like to wear on an every day occasion, but it's good for special occasions. Adds an extra pop of color to any outfit!

Had to show off the shoes, haha they're one of my favorite heels! And I got them at Burlington Coat Factory for $20!

Speaking of Bible verses, are there any favorites of yours? I love to hear what other people like, and what inspires them in their walk.
