meow!

Happy meow monday! When I was home over break, my cats were so precious! My cat phoebe really posed for the camera, I think she wants to be an internet sensation! I was with my mom in our craft room, and the cats were too cute, I had to take pictures!

cats are always so sleepy!

Oh! And come back this week to see some awesome, and easy, DIY ceramic paintings! A fun, inexpensive and personal gift idea!

Woody got me matching coffee cups :)

I rhinestoned and glittered drink stirrers for my mom. Such an easy way to spice up basic items!

Words of Wisdom #2 & Kitty Pic

Here is a Meow Monday! Well, meow tuesday! It's of my cat Phoebe, typing away at my moms desk. She loves to be everywhere we are, and will sit on us no matter how busy we are. I got this shot while I was talking to my mom about something, and next thing I see is Phoebe typing (well attempting to type!)

So yesterday was me and Woody's 6 months, so I got a picture of us before we went out to dinner. We went to House of Hunan in Akron, which was amazing! It's a nice sit down restaurant with Chinese, Thai and sushi. So delicious! I definitely over indulged.

I think Woody always squints in our pictures haha.

I really need to get time to upload the last two outfits! I just have been so busy!

Meow Monday/Shopping

Hello :) For todays Meow Monday I'm featuring the elusive Coco. She lives at my dads, and is the bad cat that ate my camera cord. This is one of the few pictures I have of her, because she never sits still when she's in public, and most of the time she hides. She is not very social. But, she is a beautiful calico!

Coco, the first day we got her, 4 years ago.

I wen't to Gabriel Brothers with my mom this weekend and got a few new things! I know while I'm on my challenge I really shouldn't, but I couldn't pass up some great deals! They have designer clothing for very cheap, and it's hit and miss; somedays you find fabulous things, others nothing. Today was one of those days where I liked everything. Here is this knitted top I loved so much, I got it in purple and yellow! They were $6 each.

I also bought this fabulous skirt for $8!

And I paired it with this yellow top to go shopping. Both new, but included it in the challenge as wild card pieces.

I paired it with these yellow wedges. These shoes are actually from Junior homecoming, back in high school! My mom rhinestoned them for me, and I wore a short yellow sequined dress. Oh memories..

This is the yellow dress.. those were the days of little Adrienna. Oh I wish I was that small again..

Today's work outfit.

These are shoes I got at a local consignment store for $4.00.

I hope you guys have an amazing monday!

Feathery Flair

So Mutlee and my cat's still dont get along. It's a gotten a lot better though, and the cats now roam the house freely. But Peaches still hides in my room when Mutlee barks. So the past few days have been me and Peaches all day long! So for meow monday, I feature the always beautiful, Peaches!

Today I went out to lunch with the family, and got a picture with my beautiful Omi (grandma in German) and her twin Erika. My Grandmother and Great Aunt are such an inspiration. They are beautiful women who lived in Berlin, Germany during WWII and lost their home, school, everything to the war. But they remained strong, and came to America and prospered.

Erika on the left, Omi on the right.

Here is this ahhmmaaziiinnng tutorial on how to make a feathered hair accessory from Promise Tangeman Blog. Feathers are so in right now, and a few of my friends have feather extensions in their hair and it looks so good! But this is a great option for someone who wants the look, without paying to get them in and taking care of them.

1. INGREDIENTS: old t-shirt, hair clips, scissors, super glue, twine, and feathers.
2.CUT/RIP T-SHIRT INTO STRIPS. I chose a black T-shirt because I wanted just a subtle look in my hair. I cut/ripped 3 different lengths of fabric. One really long one, one medium length and one shorter one. I even added some knots and tied ends together for a detailed look.
3. ATTACH T-SHIRT FABRIC TO CLIP. Using the twine I simply tied and tightly knotted the fabric onto the end of the clip.
4. WRAP TWINE AROUND T-SHIRT STRIPS.Wind the twine around all three fabric pieces separately. I wound certain parts tighter than others to add more interest.
5. GLUE THE FEATHER. Super glue the end of the feather.
6. ATTACH FEATHER. Slip the super glued feather through the wrapped twine.
7. SECURE FEATHER. Secure the feather again with a snippet of twine. Knot it good, just to be sure.
8. REPEAT THE PROCESS. Repeat steps 4-7 until you have the desired amount of feathers and twine on your hair piece. I used about 3-5 feathers on each t-shirt strip.

I can't wait to make this!

Meow Monday/ 30 for 30

I wasn't able to post yesterday because I was in the car all day driving from Ohio to Virginia, but it feels so good to be home! I like Ohio, don't get me wrong, but living right outside of DC is amazing, and there is so much to do!

My dad is looking to get a dog, he loves them and has two cat's already but has been wanting a dog for years. So tomorrow my boyfriend and I are going to look at some local pounds and shelters, and see what is out there. He wants a small to medium dog, that will get along with the cats. Hopefully we'll find some potentials! Do you guy's have any suggestion for breeds? He has a nice fenced in back yard, and a big house to roam around.

Here is my outfit for day 3! I used one of my dresses as a skirt, and it worked out really well! You can't even tell it is really a dress. Sorry for the lighting, it was raining outside so I was only able to get one good picture outside.

I also wan't to show you this great hair tutorial! It's a perfect look for summer! I'm definitely gonna try it out! If it works I'll post pictures :)

I hope you all had an amazing 4th of July, filled with fireworks and good food!
