Vera Wang Fashion Week '12

As you've been noticing, I can not blog as much anymore. SCAD is so busy, and I always have homework, and I miss blogging but I don't have as much time. Luckily I only have three more weeks until break! yay!

I loved the looks at this years Bridal Fashion Week. So many trends, color from black to the traditional white,  translucent fabric and 3d fabric flowers.

She was very big on not just traditional white. She had many sand and black dresses that are stunning!

Spool Hooks

Today I have this super easy but amazing tutorial on how to use sewing spools as hooks. It can be found here! This is something I definitely want to do in my apartment! I have lot's of old spools of thread, but nothing to do with them! Most are too old to use- they just break when I sew.

blog help!

So I've been trying to figure this out for a while..
my blog layout has been messed up and I cant fix it no matter what I do! It is really wide, it scrolls over to the right, and I'm not sure why. I have gone through all the HTML and the blog template maker, and I havent  found the culprit. When I change the width of the blog, or the side columns, it just makes the columns skinny but the blog is still wide.

Any suggestions, or could anyone help me with this? Thank you!!

Bridesmaids Boxes

When I get married (someday in the future far far away) I think this is a lovely, and unique way to ask the bridesmaids! It's from one of my favorite wedding blogs, Wedding Chicks. They have such beautiful bridal ideas, and I honestly love all of them. So expect some more things off their website!

Lovely, right?

Fabulous vintage-inspired bridal gowns!

So while looking at some bridal blogs, I came across this AMAZING website, Dolly Couture. They have short, vintage inspired dresses that are under $1000! Perfect for a modern, hip bride looking to go the traditional route, but with a twist. And they are definitely budget friendly.

Here are a few of my favorite, although I honestly love them all!

This is called The Beverly Hills, and features hundreds of organza rosettes. In my eyes, this is perfect. Organza, sweetheart neckline, flattering A line style.. what could be more perfect? $995

This is The Beverlywood. Another to die for dress. Aline, modest top, and the V neck is always flattering. There are two versions, one is $995, the other is $595.

The Pasadena  is a gorgeous gown has a beautiful rose belt, and beading on the upper half. I love the modesty and style of this one! Only $595

Glitter shoes

I love glitter, and I love that it is becoming more popular in fashion. However, there is a fine line between costume and fashion when it comes to adding glitter to your outfit. Shoes are a perfect way to add that sparkle, without going over board. Miu Miu has this amazing glitter peep toe bootie, that I adore, but could never afford! So I've found some great alternatives!

Miu Miu Fall 2011. $890
